Glickenhaus celebrates a prestigious third place in the FIA WEC 1000 Miles of Sebring with the racing program run by Podium

Sebring, 21 March 2022 - The Glickenhaus 007 LMH No. 708 has placed third overall in a field of 36 cars, reaching the podium behind Alpine Elf and Toyota Despite a penalty and a storm that brought an early halt to the opening round of the FIA WEC season in Sebring, U.S.A., the Glickenhaus 007 LMH No. 708 has placed third overall in a field of 36 cars, reaching the podium behind Alpine Elf and Toyota. Aboard the Glickenhaus 007 LMH No. 708, designed, developed and built by Podium Advanced Technologies, drivers Pla, Dumas, and Briscoe have also obtained the second est lap time: 1:49.888. With a total time of 7:15:37.293, 193 laps completed and a gap of only one from the winner, this is a truly astonishing result for the premiere in the U.S.A. of the FIA World Endurance Championship, both for Glickenhaus Racing and Podium, which has run motorsport programs for the American team since 2015. The 1000 Miles of Sebring was called to a premature halt after 194 laps of the 6.019km (3.74-mile) circuit with 70 minutes remaining due to the hazard posed by an oncoming thunderstorm of epic proportions. The 36-strong WEC field will regroup in Belgium for the second round of the championship, the Total Energies 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, on May 5-7. Luca Ciancetti, Glickenhaus Racing Team Principle and Podium Advanced Technologies Head of Road Cars and Motorsport: “ We all are extremely satisfied for being on the podium for the first time. The 007 LMH project, which started only in 2019, led us to conquer 4th and 5th places overall at legendary Le Mans 24 Hours in 2021. Our company has really been a pioneer: with the exception of Toyota, we have been the first to design a hypercar from scratch in the LMH category, now at its second season. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to work with a manufacturer as Glickenhaus and with Jim himself: a real car passionate with a huge knowledge on car development: his inputs are always focused, his approach constructive and his support to the team always valuable. We are looking forward to racing in Spa-Francorchamps with the same strong team spirit we built together.”
