At Boot Düsseldorf Riva premiered the new El-Iseo, the first full electric runabout powered by lithium batteries developed by Podium Advanced Technologies.
On 20th January Riva unveiled the new El-Iseo at the Düsseldorf boat show.
After the presentation of the prototype in September 2022 at the Monaco Yacht Show, followed by successful completion of a series of complex technical and reliability tests in every environment and in every possible condition, the official version of the first Riva model created for the E-Luxury segment is now ready for sale.
Designed by Officina Italiana Design, El-Iseo is the full electric version of the Ferretti Group's famous 27-foot runabout Iseo.
Riva El-Iseo has a Parker GVM310 full-electric engine from Parker Hannifin, offering unprecedented performance in terms of speed and acceleration, and a high-energy-density lithium battery pack developed and supplied by Podium Advanced Technologies, an efficient and extremely lightweight solution with a capacity of 150 kWh and a voltage of 800 V.
The redundant battery architecture ensures reliability and safety, key prerogatives during navigation. The batteries are completely watertight, liquid-cooled, thermally insulated and have a fire-resistant coating.
The result is a zero-emission runabout with unprecedented performance both in terms of top speed, self-limited to 40 knots, and in terms of range, ensuring up to 10 hours of navigation.
Riva El-Iseo it is the first full electric boat ever to receive certification from Rina (the Italian Naval Register) which ascertained its safety and reliability.
