From Monza to Nürburgring: a double confirmation for Podium Advanced Technologies

28 April 2022

Pont-Saint-Martin, 28 April 2022 – At the 53rd Adenauer ADAC Rundstrecken-Trophy and the 2022 TCR Italy Touring Car Championship.

At the circuit of Monza there has been the kick off of the 2022 TCR Italy Touring Car Championship, with four Cupra Leon Competición cars run by Scuderia del Girasole, driven by the reigning champion Salvatore Tavano and Federico Paolino, Nicola Guida, Raffaele Guerrieri.

For the fourth season in a row, Podium Advanced Technologies is part of the team – who won the last three Italian championships – supplying racing engineers to the Scuderia.
The car driven by Salvatore Tavano has won Race 2 on Sunday. On a dry track the car has been able to express its unrivalled potential after few minutes, marking the definitive overtaking with two laps only to go. Tavano has also scored the fastest lap overall with 1’58.519.
The day before, on Race 1, the car had encountered some difficulties with its dry setup as soon as it has begun to drizzle on the circuit, minutes from the warm up. Despite this, it has been able to get a valuable fourth place.

Saturday has also seen the debut of the Glickenhaus 004C EVO 2022 at the 53rd Adenauer ADAC Rundstrecken-Trophy for the NLS Nürburgring Endurance Series.
This new version of the 004C, developed and built by Podium Advanced Technologies, has successfully confirmed the technical solutions adopted for the new season: perfectly balanced, the car has achieved the targets set, in line with the best competitors.

This year the level and intensity of competition in the championship have been raised, reinforced also by the increased number of participating official teams.
In a field of more than 140 cars the Glickenhaus 004C EVO 2022, driven by Thomas Mutsch, Franck Mailleux, Felipe Laser Fernández, has finished the race in 14th place: an excellent result in terms of reliability that has been warmly welcomed by the racing team of Podium Advanced Technologies.

However, there is still room for improvement and the team is working very hard in preparation of the next appointments at the Nürburgring for the ADAC Qualifying Race and for the famous 24 Hours at the end of May.
