SCG 004C

Podium Advanced Technologies has developed and built the SCG 004C, which features a whole new carbon fiber chassis, central driving position, and a 6,2 liter V8 engine.

The 004C model, conceived to replace its predecessor 003C, has debuted the 2020 season of the Nürburgring Endurance Series, as well as the ADAC TOTAL 24H Race, with Podium as the official supplier of racing services.

At the end of August 2020 the 004C has participated at the 6 Hours of Nürburgring, primarily for setting the Balance of Performance. Few weeks later it has finished in 14th place overall at the end of the 48th ADAC TOTAL 24 Hours, in a field of nearly one hundred cars filled with some of the most prestigious car makes in the world. The SCG 004C has finished the race as the first car not made by a German manufacturer and the only privateer in the top 20, claiming also the class win for finishing the race as the lone SP-X-class entry.

An outstanding outcome, considering that the SCG 004C has had only one 30-hour test simulation just before the lockdown due to the pandemic.

The Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus 004C engine has been started for the first time only 4 weeks after the beginning of assembly operations, and 14 months after the kick off of the 004C and 004S (the road legal model) concurrent development work.
